Listen to a little traditional fiddling by Alexandre Tétreault (Douzie), and try your hand at some beading courtesy of Vi Houssin. We’ll have featured books for sale on-site.

Michelle Porter is a writer originally from the Métis prairie homeland. She is the descendent of a long line of Métis storytellers (the Goulet family). Her first novel A Grandmother Begins the Story was published in May 2023. She teaches creative writing at Memorial University in Newfoundland.
Conor Kerr is a Métis/Ukrainian writer. A member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, he is descended from the Lac Ste. Anne Metis and the Papaschase Cree Nation. His Ukrainian family are settlers in Treaty 4 and 6 territories in Saskatchewan. His new collection of poems is called Old Gods.
katherena vermette (she/her/hers) is a Red River Métis (Michif) writer from Treaty 1 territory, the heart of the Métis Nation, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her new novel, The Circle, is the third and final companion to The Break and The Strangers.
